Meditation
Meditation
is a process of mental concentration on God.
The techniques of meditation must be learned from a trained spiritual
teacher of Ananda Marga (the orange clad monks and nuns). The daily practice of meditation causes the
full development of all the latent mental and spiritual potentialities of the
human being. Meditation is not difficult
or complicated to practice. It only
requires twenty minutes of our time in the morning and evening. Scientific studies have shown that meditation
reduces physical and mental tensions, develops the thinking capacity, improves
memory, removes harmfulhabits, imparts a positive outlook and helps control all
strong emotions such as anger, fear, etc.
Meditation
has been practiced for thousands of years all over the world by people of all
nations. The founders of all the world’s
religions have practiced meditation in one form or another. The daily practice of meditation deepens our
belief in God and awakens and trenthens our love for God’s creation.
