Stress Relief Exercise
During
stress, the adrenal gland in our body secrets two kinds of dangerous hormones,
i.e adrenaline and cortisol.
The
adrenaline hormone boots up the blood pressure, and is the very cause of
tensions as well as malfunction of the nervous system and internal organs. While the cortisol destroys the T-cells (
white blood cells) in the body thus it weakens the immune system of a stress
person.
These two
stress hormones are sufficient to destroy our total health and fitness since
they pave the way to the emergence of various stress-related diseases such as
high blood pressure, stroke, indigestion, ulcer, heart attack, insomnia, etc.
Not only that they also disturb our business and social engagement and
relationship due to the imbalance emotional expressions during stress.
The
stress-relief exercise is a glandular exercise, which is specifically designed
to bring the balnce of hormonal secretions of the endocrine glands in our body
and smooth flow of energy in the cakras (psychic energy centers). It is a combination of simple energizing
stretching, deep breathing, positive-thinking practice as well as visualization
that automatically revitalize all functions in our biological and psychological
system. In short, the regular practice
of this exercise results in:
·
Self-rejuvenation/self-energization
·
Deep
relaxation/stress-relief
·
Better
body flexibility
·
Improved
physical health and mental balance
·
Self-awareness
and better concentration
·
Enhanced
positive thinking, self-confidence and optimism
·
Developed
universal love and social harmony
(Many companies in Japan, Singapore,
Europe and USA provide their staffs with such a stress-relief exercise before
they start works and/ or during rest hours before meal. It increases their efficiency and
effectiveness of work, thus it promotes the welfare of both the workers and the
company. Moreover, in sub-saharan
countries in Africa, this kind of exercise is given to people at HIV
communities, jails, orphan’s homes, health centers, etc to share happiness by
relieving their physical and psychic tensions)
